Tennis Center

There is more than great golf at The Surf Club! We have an active tennis group that enjoys the game for the social as well as the physical benefits. We offer weekly activities for juniors, men, ladies and mixed groups. In addition, clinics, group and private lessons are available if you are a beginner or just trying to tune up your game.

The Surf Club is a member of the GSTA (Grand Strand Tennis Association) and the USTA (United States Tennis Association) and supports league tennis teams participating in the Grand Strand Tennis League. Tennis is growing rapidly here because we are a very friendly group and everyone is welcome regardless of ability.

The tennis program is coordinated by Dave Kranstuber, a member of the USTA, active in committee work with the USTA – South Carolina. He is certified for teaching tennis by the USPTA (US Professional Tennis Association) and the PTR (Professional Tennis Registry). He is a board member on the GSTA and is involved in growing tennis on the Grand Strand.
